House Work

Living at Twin Oaks has been an adjustment. 

It feels like when we take two steps forward we take ten steps back. For every job we complete it seems like 5 others don't get accomplished.

The funny thing is that you are so happy you completed one job it doesn't matter that five others didn't get done  

It is a lesson in patience and pacing. What's more important? Kids being bathed or finishing the job you are working on. Should the garden get watered or should I have a clean kitchen. 

I can admit some is self inflicted...

We have been working very hard here over the last couple weeks getting ready for the Eclectic House Tour

Thanks to friends and family we accomplished a lot recently, though to the unknowing it might not look that way. Cleaning this house and the property around it takes a lot of work and I don't think we could do it all without the wonderful support system we have built up.

We are very excited for this weekend and hopefully everyone who visits will enjoy this place as much as we do.
